Carrots, eggs and coffee

Copy from Uncle Shuhmi's facebook.. thank you uncle for sharing this!

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water. In t...he first, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs and the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what do you see?"

"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.

She brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they got soft. She then asked her to take an egg and break it.

After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.

Finally, she asked her to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled, as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked. "What's the point, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity--boiling water--but each reacted differently.

The carrot went in strong, hard and unrelenting. However after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior. But, after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.

The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water they had changed the water.

"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"

Think of this: Which am I?

Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity, do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff?

Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you.

When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate to another level?

How do you handle Adversity? ARE YOU A CARROT, AN EGG, OR A COFFEE BEAN?

That's what friends are for

"People never know how special someone is until they leave, but maybe sometimes its important to leave, so they are given that chance to see how special that someone really is!"

True love...

True love is not physical beauty, but an inner splend or that glows in the soul and radiates through all impediments, forsaking all boundaries.

True love...is not perfection. The perfection lies in the melding of two hearts and two souls, to create a bond that survives all imperfections and the passage of time.

True love...is not fire, but the kind of warmth one feels from a golden fire's glow, an incomparable comfort in the face of despair, an offering of hope when all is hopeless.

True love is us with heart and soul, warm glowing light, and everlasting hope.

Cry is a therapy for u!

1 - Help us see - Tears not only lubricate our eyeballs and eyelids, they also prevent dehydration of our various mucous membranes.

2 - Kill bacteria - Tears contain lysozyme which can kill 90-95% of all bacteria in just 5 minutes.

3 - Reduce stress - Tears remove toxins from your body & reduce high blood pressure.

4 - Release Feelings - No matter how sad, stress or disturb you are, you'll feel better after crying.

5 - Elevate Mood - The act of crying can actually lower a person’s manganese level. Emotional tears contain 24% higher albumin protein concentration–responsible for transporting small (toxic) molecules–than irritation tears.

Friends

There's nothing as nice as someone who shares,
your laughter, your secrets, your wishes and cares,
someone who's there through your good times and tears,
who stays by your side as your friend through the years.

With my little brother Azri & little sister Asyikin.

We travel by train in the zoo and take pictures...tired.But this is the interesting moment....go to Restaurant Doli in Taiping to eat Kuew Tiaw.

Arif also happy at Doli. My daddy's favorite since he was a school boy.
Now he always bring us here whenever we come here!
On the way home (to my grandmother's house), we stopped at Tesco for shopping some groceries. I bought sandals for myself, thank you ayah! I don't like pink, but the sandals is cute, proposed by my mom...of course lah!

Arif & Asyikin at Tesco...dont't take the Maggie aaa!!
At atuk's home, I enjoyed playing PS2 with my brothers & sisters. I have no other activities to do when come to my father's hometown but here got very nice places to visit like the most beautiful lake garden in Malaysia ; Taiping Lake Garden, Zoo of Taiping, Kuala Gula Bird Sanctuary - very peaceful here, Bukit Merah Lake Town Resort - enjoy water theme park and mini zoo....ehemmm...Doli Restaurant.

What are so special about Taiping?

Here in Taiping the one & only my father's favorite tailor shop for his 'Baju Melayu' ; Mat Tailor, now the bigger shop at corner lot in Taiping town.

Normally we don't go to Taiping in the evening because of rain. Taiping also known as "Town of rain" in Malaysia.

You can see many historical building along the way to Taiping. The history of Taiping are also interesting.

What people say about Taiping ...here!

You Are Not Alone

Songwriters: Kelly, Robert S.;

Another day has gone, I'm still all alone
How could this be you're not here with me
You never said goodbye, someone tell me why
Did you have to go and leave my world so cold?

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says

That you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
But you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart
But you are not alone

'Lone, 'lone, why, 'lone

Just the other night, I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come and hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers, your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand then forever can begin

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says

That you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
But you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart
For you are not alone

Oh whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And I, and girl you know that I'll be there, I'll be there

You are not alone, for I am here with you
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
You are not alone, for I am here with you
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart

You are not alone, for I am here with you
(You are not alone)
(I am here with you)
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
(Though you're far away)
(You and me)
For you are not alone, for I am here with you
(You are always in my heart)
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart

Ku Ada Kamu - Adira AF8

Di kala ku kehilangan di dalam kegelapan,
Kau suluhkan sinar petunjuk,
Di kala ku kesedihan,
kau ukirkan senyuman,
Dengan penuh sabar memujuk,

Engkau menyambut tiap kali aku terjatuh.

Andai hari esok langit akan runtuh,
Tabahlah menjunjung bersamaku,
Andai hari esok dunia gelora,
Takkan ku gemuruh selagi ku ada kamu.

Di kala aku tak pasti,
Kau tampil dengan berani,
Membimbing agar lebih yakin,
Dan bila hidup penuh soalan,
Kau berikan jawapan,
Melengkap semua kekurangan...

Engkau menyambut tiap kali aku terjatuh,

Andai hari esok langit akan runtuh,
Tabahlah menjunjung bersamaku,
Andai hari esok dunia gelora,
Takkan ku gemuruh selagi ku ada kamu.

Tidak mungkin diri ini mampu,
Hidup tanpa doronganmu,

Andai hari esok langit akan runtuh,
Tabahlah menjunjung bersamaku,
Andai hari esok dunia gelora,
Takkan ku gemuruh selagi ku ada kamu.

Happy Teachers Day

Number One Teacher

(Puan Norazani Md Zain
- SMK Jln 4, Bandar Baru Bangi),

I'm happy that you're my teacher;
I enjoy each lesson you teach.
As my role model you inspire me
To dream and to work and to reach.

With your kindness you get my attention;
Every day you are planting a seed
Of curiosity and motivation
To know and to grow and succeed.

You help me fulfill my potential;
I'm thankful for all that you've done.
I admire you each day, and I just want to say,
As a teacher, you're number one!

Some tips to reduce your stress

1. Get up at the same time every morning
2. Tidy up your bed every morning
3. Prepare your school uniform & time table on the night before
4. 'Doa' before sleep - go to bed at the same time.

Sopan itu cantik
